Quick answer

DRAPLINE organises skills in three parts. Battle skills are chosen in combat and limited by slots — four by default, five with a strong RULE tendency according to community records. Passive skills are always active once learned. Dragon Breath sits outside the slots: at 100 Breath Points you can fire one of seven elemental breaths.

Learning three skills of the same type triggers a synergy, and the official achievements track synergies at Lv.1, Lv.2 and Lv.3. The store page counts over 200 skills; version 1.0.0 adjusted 13 of them, and the developer did not publish the new numbers.

PartHow it worksLimit
Battle skillsSelected during battle from the learned pool.Four slots; a semi-permanent RULE buff adds a fifth. The buff is lost if the WILD tendency passes a threshold and can be regained.
Passive skillsActive automatically once learned; no slot cost.No documented slot limit. Some carry a cost, such as losing HP each turn.
Dragon BreathA separate attack that becomes available at 100 Breath Points. One element at a time, switchable between seven; the default fire breath scales with HP and forces the dragon to act last.

The five-slot detail comes from a Korean community wiki rather than the developer, so treat it as a community observation. The Breath Point threshold and the seven elements come from the English wiki’s Coo page, which also records that the default breath is the fire option.

Synergies: three of a type

Learning three skills of the same type activates a synergy, which behaves like a permanent passive that raises specific stats. The official achievements confirm three tiers exist — Lv.1, Lv.2 and Lv.3 — with Triple Threat for Lv.1 unlocking for 89.7% of players, which makes it one of the earliest achievements in the game.

What the tiers require beyond “three of the same type” is not documented. No official page lists the synergy table, so a guide that gives exact tier requirements is working from data the developer has not published.

Six attribute families — and who unlocks them

Skills are grouped into horn, claw, wing, scale, roar and neutral families. The English wiki characterises horn skills as powerful but unreliable in accuracy, which is the kind of tradeoff that shapes a build rather than a flat upgrade.

Helping the villagers raises the rarity of one matching family, according to the Japanese wiki’s action page:

What the community tables actually record

The Japanese wiki keeps the most detailed tables. These samples show the shape of the data — cooldowns, stacking buffs and costs — but they carry no update date and sit under the 1.0 rebalance, so use them as illustrations rather than current values:

  • Dust Armor — cooldown 2, stacks a level that raises VIT and RES.
  • Ice Veil — cooldown 5, deals 5% of max HP per turn to the user and blocks further debuffs.
  • Roar — cooldown 2, stacks a level worth 8% STR and INT per stack.
  • Heat Vent — reduces the cooldown of every cooling skill by 1.
  • Beat — grants 30 Breath Points, which is the practical way to reach a breath turn faster.
  • Air Strike — cooldown 2, medium single-target magic damage that scales from STR.
  • Deep Breath — cooldown 5, heals for twice the STR value.
  • Passives — Great Divine Dragon (+50% boss reward), Brawl (10% HP damage to everyone at battle start), Dragon Breathing C and B (BP +2, or BP +4 at the cost of 1 HP per turn), Heat Conversion B (2% HP per turn, −2 BP), Tailwind (a wind blade every three turns scaling from AGI), Poison Hand (a chance to poison on every hit).

Version limits and what is unpublished

Three things to keep in mind. The developer has never published a full skill database, so every table in circulation is player-built. Version 1.0.0 changed 13 skills — five buffs and eight cooldown reductions — without releasing the new values, which makes any pre-1.0 table possibly outdated. And the skill total itself moves: “over 200” is the current official figure, while older pages still say 150 or “more than 100”.

If you are chasing skill-related achievements, three give you concrete targets: Wind Blade power above 30,000, a single hit above 100,000 damage, and charging the shield to its maximum. The achievements page lists them with the rest of the 66-entry set.
