Quick answer

The official soundtrack is a separate Steam app (DRAPLINE Soundtrack, app 5074600) released on 24 September 2026 alongside version 1.0. It contains 35 tracks running about 1 hour 20 minutes, composed by KANAWO, and includes music written for the DRAGON’S DISCIPLINE scenario.

Two details explain most of the confusion around it. Tracks that loop in game were re-edited for standalone listening, so their lengths differ from the files inside the game. And before the release, the only way to hear the music outside the game was to extract it from the game files — which is why older track counts (19 or 22) still circulate.

The track list includes two seasonal suites — Sea, Breeze and Dragon and Daybreak and Dragon, each in spring, summer, fall and winter versions — and three Tension tracks. The official spelling for the loan theme is “Happy CaitSith Loan”; community pages have printed it with different capitalisation, which is why the name looks inconsistent across sites.

How to buy it

The soundtrack has its own store page, so it can be bought without the game and the game can be bought without it. On the Hong Kong store on 29 September 2026 the soundtrack was HK$48 and the base game HK$76; the DRAPLINE Soundtrack Edition bundle lists both together with a 10% bundle discount, at HK$111.60 — HK$12.40 less than buying the two separately.

Why you see 19, 22 and 35 tracks

Three track counts, three points in time
CountSource and dateWhat it is
19 filesKHInsider gamerip, added 13 August 2025Audio extracted from the Early Access game files weeks after launch
22 tracksFandom wiki Music page, Early AccessA scene-by-scene list of the music playing during the EA build
35 tracksOfficial Steam soundtrack, 24 September 2026The released album, including 1.0 material and re-edited loops

The counts are therefore a version history rather than a contradiction. The same thing happens with track lengths: “A Dragon’s Tail Is a Long Tail” runs 35 seconds in the game files but 1:28 on the album, because the released version was edited to stand alone.

Finding a track by the scene it plays in

If you remember a moment rather than a melody, the community scene list is the quickest index. It maps the Early Access tracks to what they accompanied:

  • First meeting and naming the dragon — “A Dragon’s Tail is a Long Tail”.
  • Boss fights — “Calamity Children”; regular battles — “Days of Tornado”.
  • The village festival — “Divine Dragon Festival”.
  • Calico and the loan office — “Happy CaitSith Loan”.
  • The summer island event — “Island on the Dish”.
  • Morgentiana’s conversations — “Longing”.
  • Naming your character and setting up New Game+ — “My Dragon”.
  • The prologue fight and the New Calamity final boss — “New Catastrophe”.

That list describes the Early Access build, so a few entries may not line up one-to-one with the released album. It is still the only scene-based index in English.

What is not documented

No source in this batch lists full album credits — arranger, performers or recording details — and none confirms whether every piece of music in the game made it onto the album. The soundtrack also has very few reviews so far, so there is no reception data to weigh. Finally, the 1.0.1 and 1.0.2 patches do not mention adding music, but that only tells you what the notes chose to list.

For the game side of the same release window, the ending pages cover what version 1.0 added, and the language page covers what the store lists for supported languages.
